Synopsis:
In the great tradition of “The Big Chill” this masterfully told drama introduces Michael Elgin, a floundering former high school track star. He keeps life's realities at bay by having too many cocktails a few nights too often. One night, he crashes into a tree, and though he emerges unscathed he galvanizes those who care about him into saving him from himself. His friends, co-workers, parents, ex- wife and new girlfriend all gather one evening to intervene; but, true to form, Michael takes over and turns the event into yet another party. The event soon spirals out of control. Secrets are revealed, emotions erupt, and relationships disintegrate to a crashing climax.
